Part of the chain of islands forming the Western Isles (or Outer Hebrides), Lewis is renowned for its unspoilt beaches and places of historic interest such as the Callanish Stone Circle. The islands are home to a wide variety of wildlife and strong local traditions.

Broad Bay House is situated in an unspoilt crofting community in a beachside location about 7 miles north of Stornoway on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis, providing easy access to the airport and ferry terminal. It enjoys a stunning coastal location with direct access to the beach some 60 feet away and views across the Minch to the mountains on the Scottish mainland.
